Costa Brava’s reputation is more than deserved: few places in the Mediterranean offer so many beautiful beaches and coves within such a short distance. At Cliper Apartments, we have selected some of the best beaches and coves on the Costa Brava so you can make the most of your stay by the sea.
By staying with us, you’ll have the sea just a few minutes away on foot or by car, with easy access to some of the best beaches in the area. The Costa Brava stands out for its diversity, with wide sandy beaches as well as rocky coves where you can escape the crowds.
Many of these beaches and coves offer facilities and lifeguard services, easy access, and dining options, making them ideal whether you are travelling with family, as a couple, or with a group of friends.

Best beaches and coves in Platja d’Aro
Platja Gran de Platja d’Aro
The main beach in Platja d’Aro is a long stretch of sand with all the necessary facilities: lifeguard services, showers, sunbed rentals, and water sports. Easy to access and surrounded by bars and restaurants, it is one of the most complete beaches on the Costa Brava. It is located just 250 metres on foot from Cliper Apartments.
Cala Cap Roig
One of the most spectacular coves in the Platja d’Aro area, easily accessible for Cliper Apartments guests in just 5 minutes by car. It is the perfect place to relax and enjoy the sea.
Cala Belladona
Located next to Cala Cap Roig, this is a very peaceful cove surrounded by vegetation. It can also be reached in 20 minutes on foot or 4 minutes by car from Cliper Apartments.
Cala Rovira
A spacious cove, perfect for enjoying a quieter beach experience without going too far from the centre of Platja d’Aro. It is also a great place for snorkelling beginners. It is located just a 10-minute walk from Cliper Apartments.
Cala Canyers
This small, lesser-known and more unspoilt cove has a discreet access point that helps maintain a peaceful atmosphere even during the high season. It can be reached on foot via the Camino de Ronda coastal path, about 20 minutes from Cliper Apartments, and it does not offer any services.
Other beaches and coves on the Costa Brava
- Tamariu Beach(Palafrugell). A family-friendly beach in a former fishing village with whitewashed houses. It is also ideal for hiking enthusiasts, as it connects with the Camino de Ronda coastal path.
- Llafranc Beach. Another dream location to spend a day with your loved ones. The beach is set in a bay at the foot of Sant Sebastià Mountain and directly opposite the town centre of Llafranc, with a seafront promenade full of bars, restaurants, and shops.
- Aiguablava Cove(Begur). One of the favourite spots among visitors to the Girona coast. Its calm, shallow waters are perfect for children to play safely. Surrounded by nature, it still offers plenty of facilities, including lifeguard services, a beach bar, restaurants, water sports equipment rental, and parking. On the right side of the beach, there is also a path leading to a viewpoint with stunning panoramic views.
- Platja Gran de l’Estartit – Illes Medes(Estartit). A long and spacious beach where you can still find plenty of room even during the high season. The location offers stunning views of the famous Medes Islands. Bringing snorkelling goggles is highly recommended to enjoy the rich marine flora and fauna. There is free parking, a wide range of facilities, and the opportunity to practise many different water sports.
