Santa Market (Santa Cristina d’Aro)

Santa Market takes place every summer between July and August, daily from 6 pm to 1 am, just a few minutes by car from Platja d’Aro in Santa Cristina d’Aro. It describes itself as “an oasis of creativity, leisure and gastronomy” and is a perfect early evening plan with children.

White Summer (Pals)

White Summer is held every August in the coastal town of Palamós and is one of the most renowned creative summer festivals on the Costa Brava.

It is a leisure and entertainment space focused on artistic creation and experimental innovation. Each day, the programme is divided into different areas: activities, art, concerts, kids’ concerts, dance, DJs, shows, interactive performances, talks and theatre. Kid-friendly museums in Costa Brava

If you are looking for cultural activities to do with children on the Costa Brava, museums are an excellent option in both winter and summer.

In the town of Palamós, just a few minutes’ drive from Platja d’Aro, you can visit the Museu de la Pesca de Palamós, where children can discover how fishermen live and learn about the world of the sea. An educational and entertaining experience.

A little further away, the Archeology Museum of Catalonia in Sant Martí d’Empúries introduces visitors to archaeological remains preserved in Catalonia, from prehistory to the medieval period. In Sant Martí d’Empúries itself, you can also visit the remains of an ancient Greek colony.

Along the Costa Brava runs a former railway line that has been converted into a cycling path. From Platja d’Aro, a cycle lane takes you to Castell d’Aro, where you can connect to the Greenway towards Santa Cristina d’Aro. It is a flat and easy route, around 5 km return, traffic-free and surrounded by nature.
